Helping With Costume Making

Mika: An' a French knot here... Yep, that's it fer the embroidery.
Mika: Can I pat myself on the back a lil'? The embroidery was real tough 'n detailed, but the satisfaction from it outweighs all'a that ♪
Mika: Is Oshi-san still makin' clothes in the room? I went somewhere else ta keep our materials from gettin' mixed up, but I'll go check on him.
Yume: ...Huh?
Yume: Hey you, what's that embroidery?
Mika: Whaddya... Ah, don't take it without askin'~?
Yume: Ooh, Yume wants to do this too.
Yume: Heyyy, how did you do the embroidery this detailed?
Mika: How? I just embroider followin' the pattern, usually...
Mika: Umm, If I remember right, yer... Yume-kun?
Yume: Forget that, Yume wants you to answer their question.
Mika: (Nnah~, what an odd kid.)
Yume: ...It's something only you can answer, Mika Kagehira-san of Valkyrie.
Mika: Nnah? Ya remember me?
Yume: Your name, at least. Valkyrie is popular with the kids at Yume's school.
Mika: Nfufu, thank ya kindly ♪
Mika: I can certainly teach ya. Can ya bring me some o' yer work so I can explain?

Yume: 'Kay, here it is. Yume wants to make this costume.
Mika: Ooh, what an elaborate costume ♪ What stage is this fer?
Yume: No, this is for cosplay. Yume wants to cosplay on stream, so they're in the middle of making it theirself.
Yume: It's from this manga. Look, it's the character wearing the hat. The embroidery here is being a pain.
Mika: Oh, I know this manga~ It's the one Jun-kun was readin'.
Mika: Yer pretty amazin' ta be makin' such a complicated costume all by yerself, Yume-kun ♪
Mika: The fabric o' the costume matches the manga, so it looks like ya put a lot o' effort in ta makin' it.
Yume: Well, of course. Yume is on a different level from other cosplayers.
Mika: Ahaha. Well then, I should teach ya how ta embroider this.

Yume: ...(Diligently embroidering)
Mika: (...This kid actually listens when I explain things. Maybe they're not so strange after all?)
Mika: (But still, this costume. Honestly, it ain't just the embroidery, the sewin' is sloppy in places.)
Mika: (The lengths o' the left 'n right hems are a bit different, an' the lengths o' the linin' seams are uneven.)
Mika: (Overall, it's very good, an' makin' somethin' like this at that age is impressive.)
Mika: (But I'm afraid they might get upset if I point it out... So I'll wait 'n see.)

Yume: Phew, finished... ♪
Mika: It looks great. It's just like the manga.
Yume: Ufufu, with this, Yume is one step closer to that character.
Yume: Hey, shadow person. Can Yume ask you something else? [1]
Mika: 'Course. What is it?
Yume: This is the hat, but the ribbon won't hang down like in the art. It being fluttery is important, but it just looks cheap like this.
Mika: Hmm. I've never made somethin' quite like this either.
Mika: Lookin' at the art, doesn't it seem like they probably prioritized how it looks an' ignored how gravity works?
Mika: So I think it'd be difficult ta make it look like that in the real world.
Yume: That doesn't matter. Yume still wants to wear a hat like this.
Mika: Oh no, I dunno how ta do it, either...
Mika: Oh, I got it.

Mika: Oshi-san, sorry fer botherin' ya while yer busy?
Shu: Hmph. If you know that, then tell me what you want quickly. Time is a precious resource that cannot be bought back no matter how much you spend.

Shu: What was that, you impudent philistine?

Mika: ...Oshi-san really is somethin' else. If we were gonna do somethin' like this, it would've been better ta ask Oshi-san ta teach from the start rather than me.

Mika: Oh, Oshi-san. Did ya finish makin' the outfit?
Mika: I was helpin' Yume-kun make their costume but ended up remakin' the whole thing from scratch.
